Happy Christmas everyone!
This morning I took my folding chair and went painting in Bedford park. It’s OK as long as I sit in the sun. I also handed out some printed cards to people in the cafe. They carry the following information:
Watercolours of Bedford park by Simon Wrigley
at Bedford Pavilion café: 22 Jan – 28 Feb 2019
An exhibition of framed paintings and drawings for sale
in aid of the King’s Arms Project
“We believe that there is no such thing as a hopeless case. We refuse to give up on anybody and believe that every homeless person can have a bright future. We provide Outreach, Accommodation and Opportunity to help people out of poverty.”
The Kings Arms Project (Bedford) is a charitable company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales No. 07433621 · Registered charity No. 1139956 email@example.com
I hope we can raise well over £100 for the King’s Arms Project and provide more shelter and support for the homeless. Steve Westwood from the project tells me that 4 turkeys were donated for Christmas dinner in the Clarendon Street sheltered accommodation.
In the afternoon I framed drawings and paintings in preparation for the Bedford Park exhibition. James Mall, a fellow writer, is kindly helping me get this website up and running.
